Listen and Summary

First in the beginning, the guy doing the podcast introduces himself, Patrick Cox, and summarizes the headlines he is going to talk about. First he talks about Iran’s president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who in a speech was supposed to welcome some Iranian expats. He then curses to the United States saying that we’re standing up for ourselves so deal with it. An Iranian journalist living in Germany states that “this language was undiplomatic especially coming from the president of the country and a politic man. In this speech he was trying to show he was the man of the people. Basically he said something he shouldn’t have said especially as an Iranian political leader.
Secondly he talks about the dialect or language in a civilization in Northwest Greenland really close to Antarctica, and how this civilization is being destroyed due to global warning. When the civilization is destroyed, the dialect of Standard West Greenlandic is going to be loss. “Stephen Leonard who’s spending a year in Northwest Greenland, researching the Standard West Greenlandic dialect is learning their culture at Cambridge University." In that civilization there are not that many people and not much warmth. Also they have to hunt for all of their food like seals and small whales. Basically they are trying to say that the dialect of Standard West Greenlandic is going to be loss due to global warning destroying their civilization so, they are sending someone there to document their dialect.
Lastly, they were basically saying that the amount of foreign language movies in the U.S has decreased numerously. Also if they want a foreign language production in the U.S to succeed; it needs to be good and find new ways to entertain the audience.
